Rock Climbing

Cirque des Baumes: an exceptional spot

With nearly 750 bolted routes, the climbing site of the Gorges du Tarn is a tremendous spot!

Imagine a steep rock overhanging dream scenery, colours varying from ochre to black to orange, red, blue and grey, a slightly sandstone touch, and handy sculpted cracks. Some of the routes are quite easy, but most of them require good climbing skills because of their steepness or length, especially those called “voies abus”. You’ll find many grade 8 or 7 routes, but also some nice grade 6 and 5+. Don’t worry if you need a rest, the beach is never far away...

You’ll find the Gorges du Tarn rock climbing guidebook for sale at the reception.
